Soumitra has over nine years of global experience in core marketing across various industry verticals, with key expertise within the digital marketing domain. Here at iPlace, Soumitra leads the marketing operations, focusing on the effective use of digital and offline marketing channels, for generating revenue across iPlace’s new and existing business initiatives.
His industry focus included IT, FMCG, Banking & Finance, Legal and Retail. Areas of expertise include most disciplines of Internet marketing, such as social media marketing, email marketing, PPC, search engine optimization, website development, and management.
Soumitra has completed his MSc in Strategic Management and Marketing from Middlesex University, London. During his summer internship, Soumitra worked with Marks & Spencer UK to launch their new line of luxury clothing through the exclusive use of digital marketing. In college, he also worked alongside the London Mayor’s Office team to promote the London Olympics globally.
He grew up in the Middle East and has traveled extensively abroad, visiting many places in the Middle East, lived a couple of years in the UK and Europe. He can fluently speak, read and write five different languages namely English, Hindi, French, Arabic, and Marathi.
